Gretchen Lea Adkins, M.D.

Dr. Adkins grew up in Huntington, West Virginia. In high school, Dr. Adkins volunteered in the hospital and became passionate about medicine and quality patient care. She received both her undergraduate and medical degree from the University of Kentucky. Dr. Adkins completed her residency at Ohio State University, where she received the Burlex Best Teaching Resident Award and the ACGME Compliance Chief Resident honor. Dr. Adkins joined Physicians for Women of Greensboro in 2006 and says she has really fallen in love with North Carolina and the Greensboro area. Some of Dr. Adkins hobbies include, gardening, traveling and playing tennis.
